The North East Business Owner Survey provides an insightful perspective on the region’s business landscape, highlighting strong entrepreneurial ambition alongside clear barriers to growth, particularly around access to finance, navigation of support, and fairness of opportunity distribution. The online survey was conducted in October - November 2025, and 348 responses were gathered. The report and its insights will inform the North East CA’s strategic policy development, guiding targeted interventions to strengthen an inclusive, competitive, and well‑supported regional economy.
