Data information: Data is for the North East LEP area. Enterprises are defined as the smallest combination of legal units (generally based on VAT and/or PAYE records) that has a certain degree of autonomy within an enterprise group. Enterprises in the advanced manufacturing area have been defined using 5 digit SIC codes selected by the North East LEP.

Data information: Data is for the North East LEP area by each of seven Local Authorities within the LEP's boundaries. Self employed people not registered for these, along with HM Forces and Government Supported trainees, are excluded. Employments in advanced manufacturing have been defined using 5 digit SIC codes selected by the North East LEP. Subsector totals may not sum correctly due to rounding.
